In this role you will:

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies

Collaborate with, and develop and maintain working relationships with, various disciplines and departments, as well as external agencies and communities of interest

Coordinate the completion of all regulatory compliance obligations from project applications including management plans, permit approvals, and regulatory inspections or audits

Organize regulatory inspections and provide action response plans associated with any inspection findings

Fulfill information request/requirements for projects from various internal and external groups

Develop a strong understanding of applicable permits, management plans, and associated regulatory requirements for all projects

Reconcile legacy information and documentation from permitting and regulatory files into a retrievable system

Requirements:

Degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Forestry, Agriculture, or a related field

Minimum three years experience in the field of environmental regulation or compliance, in an industrial environment

Comfort with influencing and supporting practical and process change across various disciplines and departments

Technical knowledge of federal and provincial compliance practices and regulations is an asset

Experience with environmental data management, analysis, reporting, and utilizing databases is an asset
