Based in our Los Angeles headquarters, you'll be the in-house expert on U.S. international tax rules as they apply to our multinational operations, working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and outside advisors to manage compliance, structuring, and cross-border transactions across our U.S., Korean, Japanese, and Canadian entities.

Key Responsibilities

Own international tax matters across WEBTOON's multinational corporate structure, including entities in the U.S., Korea, Japan, and Canada

Apply and advise on U.S. international tax concepts — including GILTI, Subpart F, BEAT, and FTC — as well as OECD Pillar Two implications (e.g., Global Minimum Tax, QDMTT), as they affect the group's global structure and transactions

Lead transfer pricing analysis and reviews for cross-border intercompany transactions

Design, evaluate, and help implement intercompany transaction and settlement structures

Partner with external advisors (Big Four and law firms) and internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, FP&A) on tax compliance, planning, and audit matters

Monitor changes in U.S. and international tax law and assess impact on the company's global tax position

Support tax provision and reporting processes as they relate to international operations

Qualifications

7+ years of progressive international tax experience at a public accounting firm, law firm, or in-house tax function at a multinational company

Working knowledge of U.S. international tax and transfer pricing principles

Experience with cross-border transactions, tax treaties, and withholding tax matters

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures with teams in Korea, Japan, and Canada

Nice to Have

CPA license or JD/tax attorney credential

Experience with cross-border assignments or transactions involving Korea or Japan

Big Four public accounting or global corporate in-house tax background

Experience in tech, media, or entertainment industries
