Staff Software Engineer - Card Payments

What you’ll do:

You help establish company wide technical standards and share best practices

Deliver large, cross-team/cross-domain projects and initiatives

Own products and services end-to-end, from requirements till deployment in our production systems

Collaborate and grow in a dynamic and autonomous environment while working in small, agile and cross functional teams

Be the technical lead of a team, and shape its culture and ways of working. Common practices include agile methodologies, pair and mob programming

Use the latest technologies to solve real problems for our customers at a massive scale

What we look for in you:

Mindset & Approach: A results-oriented, collaborative professional with a pragmatic approach to software delivery and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.

Technical Expertise: Deep hands-on experience in backend engineering, with strong proficiency in Java (or other general-purpose programming languages) and a solid grasp of clean code principles.

System Design: A proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-availability products and microservices that drive meaningful business value.

Cloud Infrastructure: Strong familiarity with cloud-native environments—preferably AWS (or comparable experience with Azure/GCP) - including containerized deployments and cloud workflows.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills with a knack for breaking down complex technical challenges into practical, maintainable solutions.

Communication: Professional working proficiency in English, with the ability to articulate technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively across a diverse team.
