Pricing and Corporate Actions Analyst

Responsibilities Corporate Actions:

Manage all corporate actions activity for all accounts/funds.

Notify Portfolio Managers/Trading groups of all corporate action activity pertinent to the investment process.

Respond to custodians on behalf of all funds for voluntary corporate actions.

Review and initiate any ideas necessary to improve processes within the group.

Ensure securities involved in, or resulting from, corporate actions activity are valued correctly.

Provide observations and recommendations to respective Portfolio Managers and Trading groups where applicable.

Responsibilities for Pricing:

Strong analytical skills – the team is not expected to be data aggregators but rather analysts capable of understanding complex instruments and explaining and/or resolving exceptions.

Uniquely positioned to gain exposure across multiple asset types ranging from equities and futures, fixed income, listed and unlisted derivatives and complex OTC instruments.

Because the group analyzes multiple asset classes, the analysts interact with a range of teams throughout the firm including the investment teams, fund treasury and tax, as well as legal and compliance, which positions the analyst to gain significant industry and firm specific knowledge and interaction.

Requirements:

Relevant college degree or commensurate industry experience required.

2-4 years of direct Corporate Actions experience.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of a team.

Strong work ethic and attention to detail – the day-to-day responsibilities will require focus and dedication to problems; ownership is the key and issues must be resolved in a timely manner.

Must be able to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks and daily deadlines.
