About the role

Essential Functions

Patient Care

Welcome and register patients.

Collect insurance, fee, and demographic information.

Take vital signs, obtain patient history, perform triage, and document information in the electronic health record (EHR).

Provide patient education regarding

Birth control options

STI testing and treatment

HIV/AIDS prevention

Pregnancy options

Healthy relationships

Clinical & Laboratory Support

Perform pregnancy tests and urinalysis.

Prepare and package specimens for laboratory transport.

Assist clinicians during examinations and procedures.

Support abortion services through patient education, procedure assistance, and recovery room support.

Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies.

Administrative Duties

Schedule appointments and answer patient calls.

Manage patient records and documentation.

Handle cash receipts and daily deposits.

Support revenue cycle and productivity goals.

Manage inventory and ordering of medical and educational supplies.

Float Responsibilities

Travel regularly to assigned health centers.

Adapt to different teams, workflows, and patient volumes.

Cover staffing shortages, leaves, vacancies, and special projects.

Provide telehealth and care coordination support when needed.

Key Qualifications

Required

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Ability to build trust with diverse populations.

Commitment to health equity and reproductive healthcare.

Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking abilities.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA-compliant environment).

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to all centers within the designated region .

Flexibility and adaptability to changing assignments.

Preferred

High school diploma.

Spanish/English bilingual proficiency.

Healthcare, medical assistant, clinic support, or patient service experience.
