About the role

What You'll Do:

Drive High-Volume Document Production: Prepare and process a large volume of court documents, including summons, complaints, executions, and dismissals.

Own Docket Management: Maintain the legal calendar, tracking court dates, filing deadlines, and statutes of limitations.

Audit Accounts: Review accounts for "legal readiness," ensuring all backup documentation is organized, admissible, and complete.

Manage Case Data: Maintain accurate, real-time records within our collection management system (CMS), tracking legal actions, file statuses, and judgment balances.

Perform Legal Calculations: Calculate post-judgment interest and court costs to ensure accurate payoff balances for consumers.

Act as a Liaison: Communicate directly with court clerks, process servers, and sheriff’s offices regarding filing fees and service of process status.

Who You Are:

An Experienced Professional: You bring 1–3 years of experience in a legal environment (Collections, Creditor’s Rights, or Civil Litigation preferred).

A Strong Communicator: You are comfortable on the phone and can maintain your demeanor when speaking with employers.

Efficient and Accurate: You are precise and take pride in your proofreading abilities.

A Tech Pro: You have a strong command of Microsoft Office. You’re comfortable navigating spreadsheets and using document templates to stay organized.

Knowledgeable & Compliant: You have familiarity with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and local Rules of Civil Procedure.
