About the role
What will you be doing at Woodard & Curran?
Conducting corrective measures/feasibility studies
Developing detailed remedial designs including preparation of construction drawings, technical plans, engineering cost estimates, and specifications
Evaluating remediation construction bids
Estimating costs and developing and managing the scope, schedule, and budget for various project tasks
Designing in situ and ex situ soil, sediment, and groundwater remedies
Preparing technical reports in compliance with applicable environmental regulations
Selecting, coordinating, and managing subcontractors
Evaluating and mitigating vapor intrusion sites
Managing remedial construction activities
Managing and evaluating environmental data
Remediating and/or redeveloping Brownfields sites
Collaborating with project staff, clients, and regulatory agencies
What will you need to succeed?
5-10 years of professional experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program. Master’s degree desirable.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) is strongly preferred.
Strong commitment to health, safety, and safe work practices mandatory.
Demonstrated experience developing project scopes, cost estimates, and technical proposals, as well as implementing construction and remediation programs.
Technical experience in the design and implementation of site remediation programs, including feasibility evaluations, remedy selection and optimization, design, operation, and lifecycle management of remedial treatment systems, in situ and ex situ treatment system technologies, site civil engineering and stormwater management design, and local/state/federal permitting.
Remedial project management experience (scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources).
Experience managing remediation contractors and construction activities in the field.
Excellent technical writing, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to mentor, coach, and develop junior staff.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Experience with ArcGIS, AutoCAD, stormwater modeling software, contaminant fate and transport modeling software, Python/R, and/or database software is preferred.

40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and 10-hour OSHA Construction training is a plus.
