What You Will Be Doing

The EHS Technician or Engineer will partner with Quality, Facilities, and ISO management teams to maintain and continuously improve ChargePoint’s Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Information Security Management Systems. This role supports compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 standards while fostering a proactive culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

This role combines office-based responsibilities with hands-on activities in laboratory, facility, and operational environments. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support audits, training, and emergency preparedness activities.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

Support and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, programs, and management systems

Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state, local, and applicable international regulations

Plan and lead internal audits for ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and 27001 programs globally

Drive corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities through root-cause analysis and closure

Conduct workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and safety evaluations with Facilities teams

Support incident investigations and track corrective actions to completion

Analyze safety and environmental performance metrics and prepare management reports

Coordinate EHS training programs and maintain training records

Maintain permits, logs, audit documentation, and regulatory records

Support waste management, recycling, emissions monitoring, and spill-prevention initiatives

Participate in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response activities

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, Engineering, or a related field

1–3+ years of relevant EHS, quality, manufacturing, or industrial experience

Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 standards

Experience with audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and CAPA processes

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

Knowledge of ESG frameworks is a plus

Collaborate with global teams (UK, Austria, Germany, China) on alignment to standards; occasional off-hours communication will be needed.

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $77,500 to $115,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and specific work location.
