About the role

About the Position

We are seeking a Compliance Coordinator to provide critical administrative support to our fast-paced and growing Legal and Compliance team. In this role, you will help manage the intake, tracking, and submission of responses to regulatory requests and examination workflows, as well as support daily tasks related to regulatory databases and other legal operations.

Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will maintain, organize, and develop databases while managing the systems and processes that keep our operations running smoothly. You will also serve as a key liaison between our team and the rest of the firm, often acting as the first point of contact with various Jane Street stakeholders, including traders, technologists, procurement specialists, market data analysts, and engineers.

Additional responsibilities of this role may include

Providing essential administrative support to the Regulatory Inquiries and Exams team (and broader Legal and Compliance team, as appropriate)

Monitoring deadlines, maintaining documentation, and managing record-keeping and filings

Maintaining, organizing, and updating internal databases and tracking systems

Assisting in the creation and documentation of internal processes, and proposing and implementing process improvements that increase efficiency and scalability across our Regulatory Inquiries and Exams team and Legal and Compliance team workflows

Facilitating the collection and provision of data to various stakeholders in connection with their projects

About You

Have an undergraduate degree with 3+ years of administrative/paralegal experience

Experienced with corporate or financial transactions at a trading firm, hedge fund, law firm, or private equity firm

Self-motivated with a strong independent work ethic

Highly organized and able to handle competing priorities

Strong communicator with great people skills

Experienced with databases, project management, and AI tools

Reliable, courteous, and flexible team player

Have excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Google Workspace, and web-based portals)

Licensed notary, or willing to become one
