Paralegal

Location: Mclean, VA & Richmond, VA

Work Environment: Hybrid (In-Office + Remote)

Role Summary

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our in-house legal team at a growing SaaS company. This role will serve as a key operational partner to a lean legal department, supporting a broad range of commercial and compliance matters.

The ideal candidate is proactive, tech-savvy, and able to work quickly and independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. This is a hybrid position requiring a combination of in-office and remote work.

What You’ll Do

Commercial Contract Support

Support attorneys throughout the contract lifecycle, including version control, tracking, and execution

Assist with review and preparation of NDAs, contract amendments, and other commercial agreements

Assist with vendor and customer agreement management

Contract & Legal Operations Management

Maintain and manage Company’s contract database, ensuring agreements are properly stored and metadata is accurate and up to date

Organize and oversee legal files, repositories, and internal tracking systems

Assist with entity compliance and corporate maintenance across multiple domestic and foreign jurisdictions

Cross-Functional & Operational Support

Partner with teams across the organization to provide legal documentation and support responses to procurement, proposal, and other business-related information requests

Pull and summarize contract history, account context, and related communications when needed

Provide general operational and administrative support to attorneys

What You’ll Need

Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines

Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems independently

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat

Familiarity with Salesforce and SharePoint preferred

Experience with contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools is a plus

Experience with government contracts preferred

Professional Experience Required

3+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in-house or supporting commercial transactions; will consider exceptional recent college graduates with an interest in going to law school

Paralegal certificate or equivalent practical experience

Experience working with commercial contracts and legal documentation

Familiarity with contract management systems and legal databases
