Meet Our Leadership Team
Design Manager
The Design Manager leads the design team in creating accurate engineering drawings for telecommunications infrastructure projects and fiber networks. You will balance hands-on project production with high-level team mentorship, ensuring all designs meet industry standards and budget goals.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Manage daily operations, delegate tasks, and mentor junior designers to ensure professional growth and high-quality output.
Project Oversight: Lead the production of construction drawings, lease exhibits, and zoning plans. Ensure all designs are technically accurate and constructible.
Quality Control: Perform QA/QC reviews on engineering drawings and maintain company CAD standards and templates.
Technical Execution: Use AutoCAD and track site-specific designs, traffic control plans, and utility profiles.
Collaboration: Work with Market and Project Managers to allocate resources, troubleshoot performance issues, and meet scheduling deadlines.
Field Coordination: Oversee and assist with field activities, including site surveys (IKE), mappings, and civil investigations.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years in fiber design (new builds, site mods, or fiber) with a proven track record of managing project budgets.
Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, and Microsoft Office. Ability to interpret building codes.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related technical field preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of right-of-way, aerial pole surveys, cable placement, and construction techniques.
Leadership: Strong ability to work autonomously and manage a multidisciplinary team professionally.
