About the role
Nova 401(k) Associates is hiring a Team Leader for the 401(k) Administration Program, Inc. (AMP). The focus of this position is managing a team of professionals to meet company goals. The AMP Team Leader is responsible for training, goal setting, creating a positive work environment for junior staff, and performance reviews for the team members. Team leaders typically have input into setting policies and are expected to champion Nova culture and goals. Team leaders are evaluated primarily on the success of their team. For this position, an individual must have at minimum ten years of industry experience and five years of supervisory experience.
Job Responsibilities
Manage a team of 6-8 staff members, which will include some combination of Senior Account Managers, Account Managers, and Associate Account Managers. Management will include ensuring client satisfaction of the clients assigned to the team, managing the team to meet Nova’s performance metrics, providing training and feedback to team members, and completing salary and performance reviews
Champion for AMP’s values and policies
Assist in training staff members throughout the year
Resolve a minimum of 50% of service issues escalated by team members
Keep current with new regulations and legislation as well as an awareness of proposed regulations and legislation
Assist with a minimum of three Nova client/broker outreach initiatives throughout the year, such as live seminars, webinars, or special Nova events
Assist team members with annual client reviews
Maintain a caseload of about 50 clients
Provide design and consulting services to plans assigned to the team
Cultivate existing client relationships for plans assigned to the team
Communicate with principals, clients, financial advisors, attorneys, CPAs, and other professionals on plans assigned to the team
Other duties as required
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in nondiscrimination testing
5+ years of supervisory or management experience in the retirement plan field
NIPA or ASPPA credentials
Bachelor’s degree
Excellent knowledge of ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy and 401(a)(4) non-discrimination testing
Strong knowledge of ERISA, Internal Revenue Code and Regulations, including experience in nondiscrimination testing
Ability to manage and prioritize workload towards weekly goals in a results-oriented team environment
Able to interpret provisions of pre-approved and individually designed plan documents
Strong research and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High level of critical thinking

Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary $90,000-$120,000
