THE OPPORTUNITY

Iron Bow is seeking an SRv6/Crosswork Lead Engineer to provide technical leadership, subject matter expertise, and engineering oversight supporting Headquarters Pacific Air Forces (PACAF) A6. This position plays a critical role in the operation, optimization, and expansion of the PACAF BlackCore network, leveraging advanced Cisco SRv6 and Crosswork technologies to support mission-critical communications across the Pacific Area of Responsibility (AOR).

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in enterprise networking, WAN technologies, network security, and DoD cybersecurity requirements while serving as a trusted technical advisor to government stakeholders and senior leaders.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Provide engineering oversight and operational support for the PACAF BlackCore SRv6 network environment.

Design, implement, optimize, and maintain Cisco SRv6 and Crosswork solutions supporting mission-critical operations.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of SRv6 configurations, network policies, standards, and operational procedures.

Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to PACAF personnel.

Support ongoing maintenance, modernization, and expansion of the BlackCore network infrastructure.

Serve as the technical lead during network incidents, troubleshooting efforts, and service restoration activities.

Monitor network performance and optimize configurations for bandwidth utilization, application-aware routing, resiliency, and failover capabilities.

Provide advanced troubleshooting for connectivity, performance, security, and routing issues within SRv6 environments.

Assist the Government with Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities and Accreditation & Authorization (A&A) documentation.

Develop, review, and maintain RMF deliverables, including:

System Security Plans (SSPs)

Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) documentation

Control validation artifacts

STIG compliance documentation

Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&M)

System Topology Documentation

Collect and develop A&A artifacts in accordance with Authorizing Official (AO) requirements.

Provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies and follow-on corrective actions.

Support network architecture planning and implementation efforts across PACAF Main Operating Bases (MOBs) and Geographically Separated Units (GSUs).

Prepare and deliver technical briefings to government leadership, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaborate across engineering, cybersecurity, operations, and government teams to ensure successful mission execution.

SKILLS THAT DRIVE SUCCESS

Active Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance.

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience supporting Cisco SRv6 solutions.

Strong understanding of Air Force Cyber architecture and PACAF organizational structures, including MOBs and GSUs.

Experience supporting DoD cybersecurity requirements, RMF processes, ATO packages, and compliance activities.

Experience collecting, developing, and maintaining Accreditation & Authorization (A&A) artifacts.

Advanced understanding of enterprise networking concepts and architectures.

Professional-level proficiency with:

TCP/IP

DNS

VPNs

VLANs

OSPF

BGP

MPLS

SRv6

Deep knowledge of WAN technologies and network optimization strategies.

Experience leading network implementation, deployment, maintenance, and modernization efforts.

Strong understanding of network security principles and cybersecurity best practices.

Ability to diagnose and resolve complex networking and security issues.

Experience creating and maintaining detailed network design documentation and diagrams.

Familiarity with cloud networking environments, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.

Experience briefing technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated ability to brief senior leaders and large audiences.

Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.

Certification Requirements

Must possess one (1) certification meeting DoD 8140 Advanced Cyber Workforce requirements, including but not limited to:
