About the role
Foundation Risk Partners , one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding a Commercial Lines Manager to their Acentria team in Miami, Florida.
Job Summary
The Commercial Lines Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the commercial insurance team, ensuring effective servicing of client accounts, driving revenue growth, and maintaining high standards of service delivery. This role provides leadership while also collaborating with sales teams to grow and retain the commercial book of business.
Essential Functions
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of commercial lines account managers and support staff
Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and training to ensure professional growth
Establish clear performance expectations and accountability metrics
Lead team meetings and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture
Oversee servicing of commercial accounts to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality
Manage complex or high-value client relationships
Partner with producers/sales teams to onboard new clients and ensure smooth transitions
Monitor retention strategies and implement improvements to enhance client satisfaction
Ensure compliance with insurance regulations, carrier guidelines, and internal policies
Optimize workflows, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency
Review and approve policies, endorsements, renewals, and coverage placements
Analyze production reports, service metrics, and team workloads
Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers
Negotiate terms, pricing, and coverage solutions
Stay informed on market trends, carrier appetite, and underwriting changes
Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and licensing standards
Maintain documentation and audit readiness
Identify operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
Competencies & Qualifications
Strong leadership and team development skills
Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
Deep knowledge of commercial insurance products and coverages
Analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency with agency management systems (EPIC) and Microsoft Office Suite
Education & Experience
5–10+ years of commercial insurance experience
Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
Active Florida 2-20 or insurance license is required
Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or ARM (preferred)
