We are looking for a Data Specialist to lead the efforts in providing valuable insights for our product by annotating the data related to sport results and reporting it back into our system. You will join the wider Product Development department, working with the best talent to improve and enable us to have all the relevant data sorted and well documented. This is a part-time role on a student contract.
What the role involves
Input and manage data related to sports events, ensuring accuracy and reliability
Record critical match events such as lineups, goal scorers, cards, substitutions, and assists
Create and maintain accurate connections between players, teams, competitions, and seasons across various data sources
Uphold high standards of data quality and accuracy, ensuring users consistently receive trustworthy and precise information
What we are looking for
Deep enthusiasm and comprehensive knowledge across various sports, with a particular emphasis on football
Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, to ensure coverage of live sports events
Strong focus and precision in executing tasks, ensuring the highest level of accuracy
Solid computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and tools
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, enabling clear and concise reporting
Highly motivated, demonstrating a proactive approach and a strong sense of responsibility in all tasks
A collaborative team player who can effortlessly integrate into new teams and contribute effectively
Ability to work on a student contract for at least 1 year
