Project Description

As part of this initiative, the team is building a modern cloud-based data platform to support operational reporting, executive dashboards, AI-powered analytics, and data-driven decision-making. The specialist will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable data models, data pipelines, and governed analytics datasets that serve as the foundation for business intelligence and advanced analytics across the organization.

What You'll Do

Develop and maintain dbt models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers;

Convert ad hoc SQL queries into version-controlled dbt models and improve existing models for performance and readability;

Build and maintain Snowflake task-based workflows, triggers, and dependency-aware data pipelines;

Monitor pipeline execution, configure alerts, and resolve data processing issues;

Implement data quality checks and reconciliation models across EHR, Salesforce, and billing systems;

Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies, duplicate records, and issues with data relationships;

Optimize analytical queries and support decisions related to warehouse sizing, clustering, and resource usage;

Participate in Git workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD processes, and develop Python scripts for API integrations and file processing;

Job Requirements

8+ years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence Engineering, or a related role;

Expert-level experience with Snowflake, including advanced SQL, query optimization, performance tuning, Tasks, Streams, warehouse optimization, and orchestration;

Strong hands-on experience with dbt, including incremental models, snapshots, testing, documentation, and semantic modeling;

Proficiency in Python for automation, API integrations, and data processing;

Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, data warehousing, data modeling, and dimensional modeling;

Experience with Git, CI/CD, and modern software development practices;

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on scalability, performance, and data quality;

English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher;

Ability to maintain daily overlap with the US team until at least 12:30 PM Pacific Time;

Nice To Have

Tableau: dashboard development, reusable data sources, performance optimization, dashboard UX, and Tableau Prep;

Experience with Fivetran;

Experience with data quality validation, reconciliation, and data governance practices;

Experience with event-driven data architectures and AWS data services;

Experience with Snowflake Cortex, LLM-powered analytics;

Experience building AI-ready data architectures;

Familiarity with Streamlit and Python-based data science or machine learning workflows;

Experience in healthcare, payer, EMR/EHR, Revenue Cycle Management, CRM, or Athenahealth environments;

Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards, including FHIR and HL7;
