Job Title: Oracle HCM Critical Care Consultant
Classification: Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
Reports to: President
Work Location/Travel: Work is remote or on-site. Percentage of travel, where the travel occurs, such as locally or in specific countries or states, and whether the travel is overnight, varies. This resource must be willing and able to travel as required by the customer project.
Job Summary: The Oracle HCM Critical Care Consultant is the primary functional expert for Oracle Core HR within a managed services environment. This role is responsible for resolving complex production issues, leading critical client escalations, advising on best practices, and ensuring the stability of Core HR business processes. While the primary focus is Core HR, the consultant must possess a solid understanding of Oracle Payroll processes and configurations to facilitate effective collaboration with Payroll Critical Care team members and support cross-functional issue resolution.
Essential Functions
Core HR Leadership
Serve as the primary SME for Oracle Cloud Core HR production support.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to:
Worker lifecycle events
Employment and assignment management
Workforce structures
Jobs, positions, grades, and locations
Security roles and data access
Enterprise and legal employer structures
Analyze and resolve employee data issues impacting downstream systems.
Support organizational restructures, mergers, acquisitions, and HR transformation initiatives.
Provide guidance on Oracle Cloud best practices and functionality.
Critical Incident Management
Own and manage high-priority Core HR incidents and escalations.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective actions.
Coordinate resolution efforts across HR, Payroll, Technical, and Oracle Support teams.
Ensure adherence to managed services SLAs.
Communicate effectively with client stakeholders during critical situations.
Cross-Functional Payroll Partnership
Understand key Oracle Payroll concepts and processes sufficiently to:
Assess whether an issue originates in Core HR or Payroll.
Identify upstream data impacts affecting payroll processing.
Collaborate with Payroll Critical Care consultants during issue resolution.
Participate in payroll-related discussions and client meetings.
Support troubleshooting of Core HR transactions that impact payroll calculations, costing, or interfaces.
Facilitate handoffs and knowledge sharing between Core HR and Payroll teams.
Continuous Improvement
Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements.
Review Oracle quarterly releases for Core HR impacts.
Support testing and validation activities.
Develop knowledge articles, support documentation, and client recommendations.
Mentor junior consultants and support resources.

Work Environment
The work environment is remote or on-site at a client location. While remote, employees are expected to provide office space for themselves with a professional background (including virtual backgrounds) and noise level. A reliable and consistent internet connection is required.

Full time work during Apex IT business hours and, at times, outside of business hours, if required.
Required Education and Experience
5+ years of Oracle HCM Cloud experience with strong Core HR expertise.
Experience providing production support in a managed services environment.
