Localization Operations Coordinator (Temp)
As a Localization Operations Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of Balsam Brands' multilingual content workflows. You will serve as the first line of defense for localization quality, ensuring content is ready for translation, workflows are followed, files are processed accurately, and projects move efficiently from intake through delivery.
This role is highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and execution-focused. You will partner closely with Localization Project Managers, cross-functional stakeholders, and external language vendors to ensure on-time delivery, content quality, workflow compliance, and accurate reporting. During peak seasonal periods, you will help identify and resolve upstream content issues before they enter the localization process, reducing downstream rework and improving operational efficiency.
This is a 4-month, full-time, temporary position is located in Dublin, Ireland and is expected to work in a hybrid model, which includes three days in-office.
To ensure sufficient overlap with functional and cross-functional team members globally, some flexibility with this role's regular work schedule will be required. Most of our teams have overlap with early morning and/or early evening PST. Specific scheduling needs for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
What you’ll do
Localization Workflow Administration
Create and set up projects within Jira and other internal workflow tools
Prepare, organize, and maintain source files for translation
Ensure accurate file naming conventions, folder structures, and version control practices
Assign localization tasks to external language vendors
Maintain project tracking tools, dashboards, and status updates
Intake Quality & Content Evaluation
Review incoming content for completeness, formatting, editability, and adherence to localization requirements
Perform English-language quality checks, including spelling, grammar, and content accuracy reviews
Validate language variant requirements (e.g., French Canadian vs. French France, German regional variants)
Evaluate content for geo-relevance and suitability for target markets
Conduct trademark and legal compliance pre-checks using established guidelines
Log intake issues and communicate required revisions to stakeholders
Confirm Ready-for-Translation (RFT) status and maintain supporting documentation
Vendor Coordination & Delivery Support
Coordinate job assignments with external language vendors
Communicate project timelines, deadlines, and delivery expectations
Follow up on incomplete or delayed deliverables
Collect, review, and verify returned translation files
Maintain vendor contact information and workflow documentation
File Handling & Localization Processing
Perform file preparation and formatting activities across multiple content types
Upload and download content through localization and internal business systems
Conduct quality checks for formatting, completeness, and terminology compliance
Support content reintegration into designated platforms and systems
Ensure localized assets are delivered to appropriate stakeholders and markets
Support post-localization version control and staging validation activities
Quality Assurance, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
Conduct localization quality assurance (LQA) and content validation checks across platforms and assets
Escalate quality concerns, risks, and workflow issues to Localization Project Managers
Maintain accurate project tracking and status reporting
Monitor turnaround times, project volume, and workflow metrics
Support weekly reporting, workload analysis, and operational reviews
Maintain localization issues logs and documentation
Compile monthly intake quality metrics and reporting for business stakeholders
Monitor intake pipelines and proactively identify schedule risks or bottlenecks
What you bring to the table
2 years of experience in localization operations, project coordination, content operations, translation management, or a related operational role
Experience supporting cross-functional workflows and managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and process discipline
Experience working with project management systems such as Jira, Asana, Workfront, or similar workflow tools
Ability to manage large volumes of files, documentation, and operational tasks with a high degree of accuracy
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across stakeholders and external vendors
Experience working with localization, translation, content management, or digital production workflows is preferred
Comfortable analyzing operational data and producing reports, metrics, and process documentation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications, particularly Excel/Sheets
Ability to identify process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives
Demonstrated AI literacy, enabling effective understanding, interaction, and critical evaluation of AI technologies and applications across diverse business functions
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
