Job Summary

Join Payscale as a Senior SDET Engineer and help shape the future of our products through quality and innovation. We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with the latest technologies to deliver outstanding results.

What You'll Do

Review and analyze new feature requirements and design specifications

Collaborate closely with the development team to define testing strategies for various components

Own the transition process from manual testing to automation, by developing automation frameworks

Develop and execute comprehensive functional test plans and test cases, both automated and manual

Create test coverage reports and other quality-related documentation

Perform project and defect tracking using standard tools and processes

Drive and enforce QA best practices and continuous process improvements

What We're Looking For

5+ years of experience in a software Quality Assurance role

3+ years of experience in a similar role

Hands-on experience with automation testing frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium)

Hands-on experience with one of the following programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript.

Ability to support, maintain and execute automated functional tests.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Experience using issue/project tracking tools such as JIRA

Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with test case management systems (e.g., Qase, TestRail, Zephyr)

Experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools

Nice to Have

Experience with AI tooling to aid in test case generation and developing automated tests (OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, etc.)

SQL skills (e.g., PostgreSQL, MSSQL)

When it matters (usually no more than a few times a year) we take the time to gather in larger groups for in-person events.

Payscale has employees across the US, Canada, UK, The Philippines and Romania however we are currently unable to hire in the Quebec Province, Northern Ireland, and Hawaii.
