Private Wealth Operations Associate

Position Overview

StepStone is looking for a customer-centric, detail-oriented individual who will work with a team that manages fund operations and client relations for the StepStone Australia Funds. The person should have a solid understanding of investment operations and strong communication skills.

Essential Job Functions

Manage communication with the fund’s Australia transfer agent and administrator to ensure a seamless client experience.

Coordinate with the fund’s Responsible Entity (RE) to resolve operational matters efficiently

Assist clients with onboarding and any operations-related queries

Build and maintain a strong working relationship with the EMEA Operations team to ensure accurate trade processing.

Collaborate with the legal team to update documentation and ensure timely approval and implementation.

Assist due diligence team to complete information requests promptly and accurately.

Monitor quarterly KPIs for both external service providers and internal performance metrics.

Maintain a project tracker for open items and ensure timely updates across teams.

Ensure all data providers, platforms and pricing sources receive accurate and up to date information.

Assist and contribute to projects and analyses for the private wealth and business development teams.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Team player with a strong work ethic and an interest in private markets and/or private wealth.

Strong project management skills.

Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player.

Highly organized and self-directed individual who pays close attention to detail and can multi-task among various projects.

Committed to meeting deadlines and progressing workstreams across multiple teams with limited supervision.

Effective and clear communication skills, both verbally and written, with all levels of personnel, both internal and external.

Strong problem-solving capabilities with proven track record of leading projects and initiatives from beginning to end.

Highly motivated, ambitious individual with a growth mindset that flourishes in a challenging, fast-paced, and professional environment with frequent shifts of priorities as business needs dictate.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, management or business preferred

One+ year of related financial services experience required

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Highly motivated individual with demonstrated initiative, independence and adaptability

Proven customer service skills
