About the role
At Minnesota Cannabis Services, we’re not just building businesses — we’re building the people who make them great. Our team partners with leading operators across cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail to deliver world-class expertise in legal, finance, analytics, marketing, HR, and technology.
We’re looking for professionals who take pride in their work, move with purpose, and thrive in fast-changing environments. The kind of people who hold themselves to high standards, think creatively, and find satisfaction in solving hard problems.
When you join our team, you’ll work alongside some of the most experienced leaders in the industry — professionals who share their knowledge freely and lead by example. You’ll be challenged, supported, and trusted to take ownership of meaningful work that shapes the future of one of the fastest-growing industries in America.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Field Operations Technician is a hands-on, highly mobile role that keeps our client retail locations running. You will be the person who shows up, figures it out, and gets it done — whether that means mounting security cameras, assembling fixtures, pulling cable, patching drywall, setting up a new POS terminal, or driving three hours to our next location with a van full of equipment.
This role is approximately 60% handyman, IT, and general installation work, 40% driving and field travel. You will work directly alongside our two IT Field Technicians and report to the Director of Corporate Operations.
If you are resourceful, physically capable, comfortable with tools and tech, and enjoy variety in your work — this role is for you.

Run ethernet, connect network hardware, and verify basic connectivity
Troubleshoot basic technology issues at retail locations; escalate complex issues to the IT team
Learn new systems and techniques through hands-on experience and self-directed research
Perform installations across retail locations: wall mounts, shelving, cabinetry, drawers, furniture, and fixtures
Complete basic drywall patching, painting, and light exterior work including signage
Support store setups, refreshes, and remodel projects
Pull and route low-voltage cabling for technology and security systems
Work in a range of physical conditions including tight spaces, overhead environments, and confined areas
Identify facility issues and escalate repairs as needed
