About the role
Job Description
CSCI Consulting is seeking a highly driven FIAR Analyst to support our elite Department of War client. In this critical role, you will play a key part in strengthening audit readiness efforts, enhancing internal controls, and contributing to mission success at the highest levels of national defense. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside senior stakeholders and auditors in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and update business process maps, narratives, and process cycle memorandums to support audit readiness initiatives
Evaluate internal controls and provide recommendations to improve design effectiveness and operational efficiency
Partner with internal and external auditors to support audit activities and ensure timely resolution of findings
Collaborate with command stakeholders to identify process gaps and implement sustainable improvements
Develop detailed test plans and perform control testing to assess compliance with FIAR requirements
Analyze financial and operational processes to ensure alignment with DoW financial management standards
Minimum Requirements
Eligibility to obtain a Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
1–2 years of Special Operations Forces (SOF) experience in a joint environment, with exposure to one or more of the following:
FIAR budgetary and accounting support
FIAR logistics support
FIAR system Complementary User Entity Control (CUEC) support
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively and adapt in dynamic environments
Strong client engagement skills with the ability to gather requirements and translate them into actionable solutions
Excellent organizational and time management skills with a high attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to stakeholders
Professional presence and ability to operate in a client-facing environment
Creativity and adaptability in problem-solving
Ability to work with clients to understand their needs
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Professional presence
Preferred Skills
Experience with GFEBS or GFEBS-SA ERP systems
Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
Strong customer and vendor relationship skills
Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies
Motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value
Past experience working with a Federal government agency
Department of War experience is a plus!
